Psalm 55
All of us have felt the pain of this writer. We have all had those days where we just wanted run away and somehow that would help all of our problems go away. It will not of course but sometimes we just need to get away. I've been there!
I was hoping to backpack yesterday. I arrived down in Zaleski around 11:00am. The temp was already around 92 degrees. It took me a few minutes but I finally had myself talked into hiking the trail even with the heat. Once I got to the beginning of the trail I immediately changed my mind. It had rained the day before and the trail was two inches of mud. I opted to come back home and stayed in the airconditioning all day. Yes, I've gotten spoiled since I've been back home. I am still hoping to do this trail before sabbatical is over.

God, thank you for opportunities to ge out and away to rethink and renew. Amen.
