Psalm 82
Good morning God. Thank yo for another great day. Julie applied for another job yesterday but not one she would like. They offered her part time temperary work. I doubt seriously she will take it as it is not where her gifts lie. Keep her in your prayers.
Yesterday morning we went on a bike ride together. Traveling our usual route from Groveport past Williams road to the park on the other side and back home. It is a pretty ride in the morning. We were later than usual and saw no animals. We are leaving earlier today.
In the evening we hiked out to where the Sandhill cranes hang out. As we parked the car we heard them calling to one another but we never saw them. We did see several blue heron however. They too are beautiful birds.
I spent the day learning Microsoft Access 2007 and InfoPath 2007. Both of these are available to me so I thought if I learned them, I might be able to put them to work in the ministry. Looking forward to getting the opportunity..
I can tell it is less than two weeks before I am back at work as my brain is already reengaging reminding me of all the things that must be done as soon as I get back - Men's Ministry, Budgets, Disciples Fellowship, Adult Conference, Search and Call, etc. I will have to hit the ground running. But believe it or not, I am looking forward to it. As my plans fell through for my Sabbatical, (We are still waiting to close on our refinancing, which is the biggest reason I have stayed back in town) I am tired of just haning around the house. I think I have walked every trail the Columbus Area has to offer about 3 or four times. While they are beautiful, after a while you have them all memorized. The great thing about the Appalachian Trial is that it is new every day. However, I think God is teaching me that great things can come, even when plans have to change.
Thank you God for your promise that "All things work together for Good . . ." Julie and I both are waiting for where you are leading her in this next adventure of her life. Help us to find where you are calling her. Amen.
